Customer Reviews

I was really excited about the follow along feature for our two year old son who loves music toys, but I am disappointed with the execution. To follow along you need to know what song you are trying to play--both what note to play and what rhythm to play it in. This feature is done backwards on this toy. It lights the keys before ever playing the tune you are trying to learn. Once you follow all the lighted keys to complete the song (with no idea what song or note duration you are trying to achieve) it then plays the song for you. Instead of getting the chance to try it again now that you know what song it is, the toy moves on to the next song (which you don't know), repeating the confusion.
Also confusing to a young kid is that when the toy plays sample songs, the keyboard lights up the same way for each song in a sort of light display instead of lighting the keys you would play in follow me mode to play that song.
Finally, unlike our other kiddie keyboard, this one will only play one key at a time, meaning no chord sounds or even playing "chopsticks" on this one.

My mother got this for my 15 mo. old for Christmas and I think I enjoy playing with it as much as she does. She is thrilled when any button she presses nakes a noise. I like the fact that she can enjoy it now, and grow into the follow along feature.
